We Need 'Slow' To Be The New Fast in Our Jiu-Jitsu Training!

Speed isn’t fast. In a world filled, even obsessed with immediacy, we invariably miss the nuances of maturity, growth, and mindful presence . These three characteristics,  are essential to fully embrace the experiences we are engaged in.

Rushing through something doesn’t make it come quicker, but rather you find, that while you may get to the goal post, you got there with half the pieces of the puzzle somehow missing.

Most People Who Teach Martial Arts Are Afraid of the Fight!

With all the health issues I have had with my neck over the past few years, I could quit easily sit on the sidelines and tell my students what to do. I could quit easily use it as a convenient excuse not to play the game anymore. Although there are days I am forced to be on the sidelines when my neck flares up, most of the time, ninety percent of the time, you will find me on the mat rolling and sparring with my students. Roll On: Dealing With Turbulence On The Mat and In Life

I fly a lot. There’s nothing like being 35000 feet in the air, and suddenly the plane starts shaking violently like a matchbox. Watching people’s bags fly out from the overhead lockers, one has only three choices.
